Tapiovaara (1914–1999) was one of Finland’s best-known modernist
interior designers. Artek acquired the rights to his furniture collection
last year. “Aalto and Tapiovaara do not compete with each other,” Kullberg
says. “They complete each other.” During ICFF, Artek will present the
designer’s classics at the fair, with a more extensive range at the Artek
store. The present collection includes: Domus chairs, the Pirkka product
family, the Tale stool, the Mademoiselle chairs, and the Trienna, Domino,
Tee-tee, and Ovalette tables.
